Hi there! I'm Steph, and I'm so glad you're here!

Some of my earliest memories were flipping through stacks of photo albums at my Grandmother’s home. I loved how she kept everything, even the imperfect, unposed and natural photos. She printed the real laughs, the silly faces, the real hugs and the real personalities! Many of those loved ones are gone, but we’ll always have those memories - through the photos!

I’ve always felt like photography is how we keep memories alive, and feel connected to our family history. So for me - it’s about more than just photos - It’s a legacy.

So I've always been drawn to photography, and have had a camera in-hand since I was 10 years old. I never thought this would have been my career path... but in 2009, as I was searching for my own wedding photographer, I realized my deep love for photography and it just “clicked”… that I could make a career out of doing what I’m most passionate about!

I decided right then to learn everything I could, and dreamed of the day I’d be doing what I do now: Creating amazing wedding day experiences & a legacy of images - As well as educating other photographers to create the business they love!

As your photographer, I want you to feel like you can be yourself, and forget that the camera is there. I strive to capture not simply what's happening, or how you look at this time in your life... but how you love one another, how you feel when you're together, and what dynamics make your relationship special. I want you to have fun and enjoy every minute of your wedding day, knowing that the legacy of your love is being captured beautifully. And not just your love story, but of all the love stories of family & guests present on your wedding day that led to yours, all the emotions and meaningful moments & relationships.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS + ELOPEMENTS PHOTOGRAPHY:

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY: 650.

1.5 hours, multiple locations if time allows, multiple wardrobe changes in time allowed, and High-Resolution download of 120+ edited images. *At any point, if you decide to book your Wedding with Emerald + Ivy, this session fee will be applied to your wedding package! (Wedding Packages include a complementary Engagement Session, so $650 toward your Wedding Day Coverage!

PROPOSALS + “JUST ENGAGED” SESSION: 500.

Includes planning & consultation for how to execute a surprise proposal, as well as ideas for a ruse to get your love to your desired location. Time allowed for photographer to get into place and wait for you to arrive, and up to 30 minutes of additional portrait time after the question has been popped!

You’ll receive a preview gallery same-day (most of the time within 2 hours of your proposal!) of the highlights of the proposal, closeups of the ring, and a few portraits - edited right away for you to share online the same day as your engagement! These sessions also typically yield between 80-100 images between for the proposal, and portraits afterward. If a second photographer is needed to execute the surprise (depending on location), we’ll discuss that option, but there’s no additional fee!

On a personal note:

I'm married to Ben, my best friend and biggest fan. We have been blessed with two wild things. I attribute my thriving business completely to God, I couldn't have done this on my own.  I have a slightly unhealthy addiction to coffee and Brookside chocolates. Summer is my favorite season - Most days you can find us at home swimming, playing video games, riding bikes, building with lego, playing golf or sitting around the firepit in the backyard. For all my efforts to stay in shape to keep up on wedding day, I am such a foodie! I love Sushi, Mexican and Italian food the most. (and pizza & burgers, and will never turn down Mac & Cheese.) I love to cook, but can’t bake a worth a lick.  

I have formal education in Graphic Design, and love that I can add on card and album design services for my couples!  I started painting again when my Dad passed away… He loved & saved all my art, and encouraged me to pick it up again. (Stay tuned if i’m brave enough to show any of my paintings on my IG.) I talk a lot when I get excited, and get quiet when I'm focused.  I'm a down-to-earth southern girl, love being outdoors, and love being around happy people! Contrary to stereotypes of Entrepreneurs, I am extremely organized & disciplined! (I do, however, work from home in my yoga pants MOST days.) I love Friends, The Office, and a good TWSS quip. I love handwritten thank-you’s and complimenting strangers. Enneagram 3 wing 2. Meaning I’d go to the mat for you & for what’s right, and do everything I can to help (and then some) and do my absolute best every time.
